I am excited and energised by the opportunity New Zealand has to grow our economy, but as a small nation, we can't do this by selling to ourselves - it is critical we start to think bigger. There is a large market out there, but to optimise our outcome, we need to understand how to effectively operate both in New Zealand and on a global scale.
This includes fully understanding our customers needs, how a new market or culture may require a nuanced or new approach and how we can efficiently scale the way we do things. We are a nation of visionaries with innovative ideas, but the 'number 8 wire' methodology isn't always the best approach!
